  • What Makes Us Different

How Are We Different?

The APEX Law Firm was founded by Attorney Toney Pignatiello, a United States Army veteran and managing partner at his last firm. Admitted in Connecticut state court, the United States District Court, District of Connecticut and the United States Supreme Court, a National Trial Lawyer Top 100 Trial Lawyers recipient from 2014 – 2019, and an active member of numerous local and national bar associations and organizations, Attorney Pignatiello gives each client the personalized attention and professional performance they deserve.

We understand that you have a choice when it comes to hiring an attorney to represent you and over the years, we’ve discovered that clients typically look for three things when hiring an attorney. They want:

  1. The best lawyer;
  2. The best outcome; and
  3. The best value.

Unfortunately, the best lawyer and the best outcome is not always the best value. Good legal representation comes at a cost and The APEX Law Firm recognizes that not everyone has a rainy-day fund set aside for unexpected legal challenges. Because of this, we offer many options that may help clients ease the burden of funding legal costs, such as:

  • Flat-fee arrangements: This is a one-time payment that covers the complete cost of your entire case from beginning to end. It’s often preferred by clients because they know exactly how much the case will cost, even when uncertain about how long it will take. A flat fee gives you the piece of mind of knowing that your case will be capped at a specific amount and there will be no unexpected or added costs* down the road.
  • Payment plans: Some flat-fee agreements may be paid by making regular payments over time. You can choose an installment plan that pays the entire cost over two or three months or you can make biweekly payments in accordance with your pay schedule at work. While not every type of case or every client will be accepted for a payment plan, it can be an alternative option to consider for certain cases that typically require and up-front retainer and hourly billing.
  • Credit cards: The Apex Law Firm cares about the environment and prides itself on being as paperless as possible. We send invoices via email and accept credit card payments directly online through our secure and encrypted case management software. While most law firms have the option to pay online, The APEX Law Firm does not charge extra fees for using your credit card. Credit card payments are also the preferred method for payment plans.

*Flat-fee agreements may or may not include case expenses depending on which program you are using. Ask for details and read your agreement carefully prior to signing.
